Child patients are cared for within the NHS, and regular appointments are essential to identify any problems from an early age. It may be necessary for more frequent visits in some cases, for example during orthodontic treatment or if a high rate of decay is detected.
To help maintain a healthy mouth and smile, we recommend dental visits for children as soon as the first teeth erupt.
Just joined this dental surgery and really impressed. The reception staff were great over the phone and in person. The dentist and dental tech were lovely too. The dentist was really thorough and explained everything to me throughout. Very pleasant experience all round. Would highly recommend.
Catherine the hygienist and her assistant were very considerate and gentle. Recommended by my Mum and now by me. Clean and tidy clinic with courteous and friendly staff 5 star
First time at this practice, I’ve had a dental check up and a hygienist appointment. Both great experiences, staff were all super polite and welcoming. I felt relaxed through both procedures. They were both very thorough and advised on general hygiene and well being, which was a great service!
It is important to establish good oral hygiene habit from a young age and ensure excellent dental health as children grow. This is why we recommend children visit the dentist as soon as their first teeth erupt.
Our dentist are highly experienced working with patients of all ages and those with dental anxiety. By creating a welcoming environment, taking things slowly and making appointments “fun” we build up trust with your child so they can feel comfortable in a dental environment.
As a base we recommend children visit the dentist every 6 months for a checkup, though this may be more frequent depending on their oral health.
